October 16, 2015 Newsletter: Klopp, Spurs tomorrow at 6.45am & more Klopp!
Happy Friday Reds,
Last time we sent out an email was ahead of the Merseyside Derby and the international break that followed it. While the Merseyside Derby didn’t live long in the memory, what happened after it certainly did. That night news broke that Brendan Rodgers had been sacked and the indication was that the club already had a few names in mind, and possibly even lined up. Within a couple of days it was more or less confirmed that the man to take over was none other than Jürgen Kloppquite a few reflecting on Rodgers looking forward
Tomorrow morning, the Reds take on Spurs away in what will be Klopp’s first match as the Liverpool manager. Kickoff is at 6.45am and doors at AJ Hudson’s 6am. We hope to see you all there! I certainly don’t expect Klopp to be a miracle worker and instantly turn us into a world beating side, but it’s exciting times none the less, we can only improve.
It hasn’t been all positive news during the break, unfortunately. Joe Gomez and Danny Ings both suffered Anterior Cruciate Ligament injuries and are set to miss the rest of the season. To make matters worse, Jordan Rossiter suffered a hamstring injury during his third game with England in a five day period. The January window can’t come soon enough.
